The demo above is a plot of a simulation of a beam of photons (white) traveling in water and hitting a sphere of gold.
As they colide with matter they produce electrons (blue), positrons (red) and other photons, which in turn produce more particles of each kind.
I named the code MontyCarlo, in honor of "Monty Python", the show that inspired Python's name and of "Monte Carlo", the name of the method used to simulate particle interactions.
